StillSecure® has assembled an impressive and experienced team of executives. With backgrounds from private to public companies, from non-technology based professional service firms to high-tech software companies, these executives are prominent in their respective fields. In addition to a number of security experts on staff, the executive team is well versed in Internet infrastructure and security.
Rajat Bhargava
Chairman, President & CEO
Rajat Bhargava is responsible for defining the company's vision and strategy as well as executing on that vision. Mr. Bhargava is a 7-time entrepreneur with four exits (two IPOs, two trade sales, and three still private). He is a co-founder and board member of both Yesware, an email productivity service for sales people, and MobileDay, a mobile one-touch conferencing and meeting application. He was previously co-founder of Quova (acquired by Nuestar), the market leader in Internet geolocation. Prior to Quova, Mr. Bhargava was co-founder of Interliant (public and subsequently acquired), a roll-up in the Web hosting space. Mr. Bhargava was also co-founder of Service Metrics (acquired by Exodus Communications), an Internet infrastructure monitoring company. Mr. Bhargava started his career in 1994 by co-founding NetGenesis (public and subsequently acquired), one of the original Web-site analytics companies.
Mr. Bhargava is a graduate of MIT, with a degree in Electrical Science and Engineering.
Larry Middle
Chief Financial Officer and VP of Operations
Larry Middle has more than 15 years of diversified business advisory, management, operational, financial, and accounting experience. Prior to joining StillSecure, Mr. Middle spent 7 years serving as Chief Financial Officer and VP of Finance at three privately held high-tech companies, where he oversaw and directed all financial operations, contract negotiations, and mergers and acquisition strategies and opportunities. Prior to this, Mr. Middle was employed at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP where he provided audit and advisory services for a variety of privately and publicly held companies.
Mr. Middle is a graduate of Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and is a CPA in the state of Colorado.
James D. Brown
Chief Technology Officer for StillSecure
James D. Brown is responsible for overall product and services strategies, and architecture and implementation of StillSecure's product suite. James has tremendous experience in both public and private cloud security and helped create the industry's first comprehensive Cloud Security Services Platform that supports physical, virtual and multi-tenant environments. The Cloud Security Services Platform provides easy deployment of StillSecure's powerful suite of network security services, regardless of the client infrastructure and works with Xen, VMware, Hyper-V and KVM environments. By using the virtual environment as a deployment method, StillSecure's customers will benefit from lower hardware costs, faster provisioning time, and a more environmentally friendly security option.
Mr. Brown has over 20 years experience in the network security, IT, telecommunications, and human resources industries. Mr. Brown was most recently co-founder and VP of Information Systems at CareerWizard.net, a job search automation firm. He was responsible for product planning and engineering, information systems infrastructure, and customer support. Prior to that, he held various technical and leadership roles at Qwest Dex (now Dex One).
Mr. Brown attended the University of Colorado at Boulder, with a concentration in Computer Science.
Sanjiv Bhargava
Sr. VP Engineering
Mr. Bhargava has over 20 years of software industry experience. Most recently he worked with security startup companies as a consultant and mentor. Before that, he held the position of Vice President of Technology for Symantec Corporation, where he oversaw the research and development efforts of Symantec Research Labs, including SARC (Symantec's Anti Virus Research Center). He has also served as Senior Director of Development for Symantec's Remote Productivity Solutions Business Unit, where he was responsible for the development of award winning products, such as pcAnywhere, ACT!, and WinFax. Early in his career, Mr. Bhargava held various development management positions within Symantec and Contact Software International, which was acquired by Symantec in 1993. Mr. Bhargava has a master's degree in Computer Science from Western Michigan University and an MBA from the University of Rajasthan in India. He's also an alumnus of the Wharton Business School's Executive Management Program and has taught at Western Michigan University's business school.
Brian Herman
VP of Managed Security Sales
Brian Herman has nearly 15 years of experience in the Information Technology industry with a strict emphasis on network security.
As VP of Managed Security Sales, Mr. Herman is responsible for creating, developing and implementing the vision, strategy and execution for StillSecure’s managed security services channel partner sales and development.
Brian came to StillSecure through its acquisition of ProtectPoint in 2009, a managed security service provider focused on 24x7x365 support for network security customers. Brian designed the business model that successfully offered ProtectPoint’s managed services through an indirect sales method, and developed the sales and marketing tools required to efficiently manage and support their channel partners.
Brian and his team work closely with channel partners to ensure they receive the proper training, tools, materials and dedicated support to effectively provide StillSecure’s managed security services to customers. Brian also collaborates with the managed security services development and security operations teams to ensure service features and service support exceed customer needs and market demands.
By continuously liaising between the StillSecure Security Operations Centers and channel partners Brian is able to provide expert consultations to assess customers’ security needs and provide the appropriate solutions for them.
Brian holds a degree in Marketing and Computer Information Systems from Kent State University.
Dave Greenstein
Advisor
David Greenstein is responsible for the technical vision of the StillSecure product suite. His responsibilities include developing the technical roadmap, determining the best available technologies and methodologies for suite integration, encouraging innovation in StillSecure's core competencies, and understanding complex customer environments in which products are deployed. Mr. Greenstein has more than 10 years of experience in the web analytics and network security industries. Most recently Mr. Greenstein was the senior engineer and architect at NetGenesis where he was responsible for the data warehousing and reporting/analysis components of their high-scale web site analysis tools.
Mr. Greenstein is a graduate of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, with a Bachelors of Science in Computer Engineering.
