The ProtectPoint managed firewall is available in the following configurations:

• Router Mode: The firewall is implemented in-line and configured to route packets on the network.
• Bridge Mode: In a bridge deployment, the firewall offers true plug-and-play transparent network integration. This reduces the pain for network administrators, as no restructuring of the network topology is necessary.
